Station 21 handled three calls on Valentine's Day. The first came just before
0200 hrs with the reported bomb threat. Personnel staged well out of the
area until released by PD. The second call came at 0939 for the vehicle accident overturned. Engine and Utility responded with a crew of 9. Chief 21 arrived on scene with one vehicle on its side and a single patient being taken care of by EMS 41. Crews from 21 and 41 stabilized the vehicle, depowered, and cleared hazards from the roadway. Following towing, the box was placed available. The third call for the day came with personnel in station finishing work for their Instructor I class. The third alarm with additional tankers was struck bringing Tanker 21 the whole way to Jackson Township. The Tanker was enroute with two in a minute. Upon arriving, all tankers were staging as there was adequate water from the hydrants for the current fire load. After ensuring that the current water sources were sufficient, Tanker 21 was released from the scene. Thank you to Maytown for bringing Tanker 7-9 to our station to standby. |
