HTFD Banquet |

This past Saturday, members met up at Station 41 for their annual membership banquet.
However this year's banquet honored members from Hellam as well,
making it the first Hellam Township Fire Department banquet. The event
kicked off at 17:00 with social hour follow by words and a slideshow from Chief
Smeltzer. A delicious dinner was served next. After dinner, guest
speaker Battalion Chief Matt Tobia from Anne Arundel County, Maryland spoke on
firefighter safety. Firefighters from both Stations 21 and 41 presented
slideshows recapping incidents and events from throughout 2008. Awards were
given out for both departments from their perspective chief officers.

Station 21 members would like to thank the Wrightsville Brothers and Sisters for
their hospitality. We are all honored to work with such a great group of
people and we are proud that we have become close enough to call ourselves the
Hellam Township Fire Department. |
